Officials Face Charges Over Illegal Land Deeds

Sixteen Thai government officials are facing negligence charges for allegedly being involved in two land scandals.
The land in question is in Phuket province, covering 370 rai.

Eight officials are suspected of involvement in the illegitimate issuance of land title deeds worth 2 billion baht.

The further eight officials were allegedly involved in issuing illegal Nor Sor Kor 3 land possession documents.

Some land owners claim to have bought land with Nor Sor 3 Kor and title deeds, however the Natural Resources and Environment Ministry noted that the plots are located in forest zones, so it needs to find out how the documents came to be issued.
